COUNCIL
MEMBER PARTICIPATING IN THE CRIMSON SYNOD
Cardinal
El-Amin, was handpicked and appointed by the Pontiff, to be sure that
all nations were fairly represented, as is the way of the Catholic
Church.
BACKSTORY
FOR CARDINAL EL-AMIN
Early Life and A New Vision
Cardinal
El-Amin, unlike many of his Curia colleagues, did not come from a traditional European background. He was a brilliant and dynamic priest from a North African diocese, where he served a multi-faith community and witnessed firsthand the challenges and opportunities of a modern, pluralistic world. His theological education was deeply rooted in the works of St. Augustine, but he approached it with a new lens, seeking to reconcile faith with a modern understanding of history, science, and a world where information could no longer be controlled by a single institution. His pastoral work was focused on interfaith dialogue and social justice, which caught the attention of Pope Peter Benedict, who saw in him a forward-thinking intellect the Church desperately needed.
A Trusted Advisor and a Crisis of Faith
When Pope
Peter Benedict appointed him to the Council of Cardinals, it was a clear signal to the world that the Vatican was embracing a more global and modern perspective. El-Amin became a key voice for reform, advocating for transparency and a more open approach to theological inquiry. However, his faith in the Church's ability to evolve was shaken by two specific events: the
"Cleopatra
Reborn" incident and the discovery of the "Holy Compass."
While others in the Curia debated the theological implications of a "reborn" pagan queen, El-Amin saw the bigger picture: the Church was being forced to confront its own narratives in the face of new, undeniable data. He also learned, through his extensive network of contacts, about the "Crimson Synod" and their radical, fanatical offshoot, the "Righteous Order of the Purified Flame," who were actively working to manipulate these events.
The Double Game
El-Amin's alliance with the Crimson Synod is not one of shared belief, but of strategic manipulation. He views them as a force of nature, a reactionary element that, while dangerous, can be used to achieve his own ends. He secretly liaises with them not because he agrees with their fanatical goals, but because he knows of their plan to clone Jesus from a DNA source. This is the lynchpin of his secret agenda.
The Synod believes that cloning Jesus from the blood on the Shroud of Turin, or from the controversial bones in the Talpiot Tomb, will prove the divine nature of Christ through genetics, thereby "purifying" the faith and restoring the Church's power. El-Amin, however, believes that this act, regardless of its outcome, will be the ultimate crisis that forces the Church to either adapt or perish.
If the cloning is successful, and the "cloned Jesus" is a mortal man, the Church will be forced to redefine the meaning of the resurrection and the nature of divinity, finally embracing a modern world where God's power is not a magic trick but a force that can be understood and even replicated.
If the cloning fails, or if the DNA points to the bones in the Talpiot Tomb—a site heavily disputed by scholars as a potential family burial plot of Jesus—it will create such a global theological earthquake that the Church will have no choice but to engage in a radical self-examination of its core beliefs.
Ultimate Goal
Cardinal El-Amin's goal is not to betray the Pope or destroy the Church. He sees himself as a grim physician, prepared to use a dangerous and radical therapy to cure a patient who is slowly dying. By allowing the "Flame of Sion" to pursue their extreme goal, he is setting a trap for the Church itself, one that will force it to leap into the modern world of science and data-driven truth. He understands the immense risk, but he believes the alternative—the slow, comfortable descent into irrelevance—is a far greater sin. He is a man who loves the Church enough to risk tearing it apart in order to save it.
The Flame of Sion’s Doctrine, or teachings:
“The Son of Man left behind the husk of flesh, sanctified by suffering. We do not seek to raise the man, but to prepare the vessel for the return of the Light.”
SACRED TEXTS OF THE FLAME OF SION
These texts are revered internally but hidden from public view. They blend apocryphal scripture, pseudo-scientific prophecy, and encrypted theological doctrine.
1. Codex Lux Aeterna (The Eternal Light Codex)
This is the foundational scripture of the Order. Allegedly written by a 13th-century mystic who claimed visions of a Second Dawn. The Codex contains encrypted references to resurrection, genetic purity, and divine replication.
Chapters include:
- The Vessel Shall Rise — prophecy of a reborn messiah.
- The Flame and the Womb — symbolic merging of science and sanctity.
- The Bloodline of the Light — genealogical charts tracing divine descent.
2. The Gospel of the Twin
Is a heretical text claiming Jesus had a twin—possibly a metaphor for replication. This is used to justify the belief that Christ can be reborn through sacred science. The Gospel suggests that the soul can be “summoned” into a genetically identical body if purified.
3. The Scrolls of the Second Dawn
A modern compilation of research, relics, and recovered fragments. Includes references to Cleopatra’s tomb, mitochondrial DNA, and ancient embalming rites. This is maintained in The Vault of the Dawn, accessible only to high-ranking members.
It is thought that the remains of Jesus, at Golgotha (Calvary) were
embalmed, or mummified, using the formula developed by Cleopatra, that
enabled her to contemplate suicide as a means of evading her captors,
and cursing them to oblivion. Something, that came to pass.
