Then, Dan and Cleopatra had persuaded John to allow them to administer the BioCore brain implant, that bound John to the CyberCore Genetica super-nano-computer, and thence to HAL, the onboard AI. an almost holy fusion of man and machine. But by a stroke of fate, or something more, his own existence was about to be changed forever.

Unbeknownst to the Neuwelt scientists, John was already stocking his own piece of cutting-edge technology: his uncle Professor Douglas Storm’s invention, the ARK. The world's most comprehensive digital DNA database, the ARK was a repository of all life on Earth. When the BioCore implant and the CRISPR virus activated inside John, they didn't just allow unfetered communication to knowledge base; they connected with HAL and the ARK, multiplying his cognitive abilities many times over. Far above the jungle canopy, in a realm of quiet contemplation, Jesus Christ and his father, Jehovah, watched. They saw not the struggle of a man against men, but the unfolding of a divine plan. They were impressed by John, a man with no idea he was a modern-day descendant of the Roman General Mark Antony, a man who, entirely of his own volition, was already a conservationist, a collector of all life on Earth.
