The names and faces of the key players flashed on the screen: Cardinal Alfonzo, his zealous, traditionalist face a mask of conviction; Cardinal El-Amin, a subtle, intellectual force with a hidden agenda; and the fanatics of the Flame of Sion—Father Malachai Virelli, a zealot with a priest's collar, and the brothers Malchus and Elias Cain, the two who had desecrated the Talpiot Tomb. Also there, the mastermind Archbishop Lucien Thorne, and the brilliant but morally bankrupt geneticist Dr. Leontine Ashur.
